100% Pure (one of my all-time favorite natural beauty brands) released several new lipstick shades this fall, both in their Cocoa Butter Matte Lipsticks, and Fruit Pigmented Pomegranate Oil Anti Aging Lipsticks. If you remember my post from when the original shades were released, you know how much I LOVE these nontoxic formulas! They released 12 new shades and I tried four new Cocoa Butter Matte shades, and one new Pomegranate Oil shade… some neutrals, and a pop of holiday red!

You can see the difference in the formulas below – Buttercup is not matte, though they are all moisturizing.

Fruit Pigmented® Pomegranate Oil Anti Aging Lipstick (see more swatches of these here)
Buttercup – I think this is my new favorite go-to shade for every day wear. These have a glossier finish than the matte shades, but not too glossy. A cool, dusty pink that pairs nicely with my fair/neutral undertones (and currently fading pink/purple hair!).

Cocoa Butter Matte Lipstick
Cassia – A neutral, deep antique pink. Almost the matte version of Buttercup.
Sahara – A neutral, deep nude. I didn’t think I’d like this one as much as I do. It would work well on a wide range of skin tones.
Winecup – A cool toned, antique berry. I love this one so much. The perfect matte berry lipstick that pairs well will my current hair situation (below right).
Nopal – A neutral, deep, vibrant ruby. I think this is the perfect holly berry red for the holidays! You’ll want to apply this one with a lip brush (below left) and make sure to conceal any redness in the skin on your face to pull this one off.

These lipsticks are totally worth treating yourself to (or a friend… the holidays are approaching. Lipsticks make GREAT stocking stuffers!). They always offer FREE standard shipping on +$50. They also just launched their new lip liners this week! Be sure to check them out along with many other amazing new releases you’ll want to get your hands on.

I find all of these new shades to be very wearable colors. The only one that is currently clashing a little bit on me right now is Nopal – I love this red SO much, but it doesn’t pair magnificently with my fading pink/purple hair at the moment. It is making me want my blonde hair back! Soon… I am enjoying the slow fade at the moment. Red is one of those colors that just wants to shine on its own though and, in my opinion, pairs best with natural hair color.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again – these formulas are high quality. They’re natural, nontoxic, vegan, cruelty free and beautifully crafted. So glad they created more shades! – Naomi
