Scent is one of my favorite things in life, as you well know if you’ve followed me on the internet for a while. All natural, botanical scent to be specific. So when the lovely Kristi of LITE + CYCLE sent me samples of her essential oil perfumes I was delighted. This collection is not only beautifully designed (I can’t get enough of the gorgeous geometric pattern that is a modern take on a mandala) but of high quality.
LITE + CYCLE essential oil perfumes are just that – aromatherapeutic perfumes made with 100% pure essential oils. They are free of synthetics, dyes, animal by-products, and hidden fragrance chemicals. The glass rolle-ons are 8ml and I found the cool metal roller ball worked smoothly and delivered a generous amount of product.
The three scents:
INGRACE (Mood: Peaceful and Serene) – The one I got the roller ball in. This is primarily a blend of lavender and rose though there is a touch of petitgrain. The soft herbaceous lavender outshines the rose in this blend, so if you love lavender this is for you! I could only faintly detect the rose.
INRAPTURE (Mood: Blissful and Joyful) – A bright citrusy blend of bergamot and petitgrain, with supporting notes of red grapefruit and amyris. This was my favorite out of the three! It is smooth, sweet, sunny, and lifts my mood every time I apply it.
INHEART (Mood: Confident and Sound) – An earthy blend of vetiver and sandalwood. The vetiver is the stronger of the two in this blend but the sandalwood makes it extra smooth and creamy.
TIP: My favorite is actually to layer Ingrace and Inrapture together! Though all of these could be layered to your liking, depending on mood.
I’ve been using these nonstop and am about to run out of the little sample of Inrapture. Having sampled lots of essential oils, good and bad, I can tell these are great quality. Kristi uses certified organic and wild-crafted whenever possible.
Overall I love the simplicity of the brand and the blends and would highly recommend you check them out if you’re looking for a beautifully packaged essential oil perfume to incorporate into your daily life. These are truly a pleasure to use each day and also for specific times such as during meditation.
LITE + CYCLE also has a line of essential oil candles with the most gorgeous lids I’ve ever seen (and you can actually use the bottom of the lid to strike your match)! They come in lavender, bergamot, vetiver, urban forest, and sage.
