Spring releases are always some of my favorites in the beauty world! BITE Beauty released their new Lip Pencils and Prismatic Pearl Crème Lip Glosses this month and I am in love. If you’re thinking of purchasing any of these, read on to know my thoughts and see some swatches. I also talked about these in my latest video on my channel if you’re curious (along with an unboxing of several new releases from Tarte).
Before trying these, I honestly hadn’t used a lip pencil in quite some time. They just weren’t on my radar. But I actually find them to be very useful! These ones have a beautiful formula that glides right on, not too soft, not too hard. I love that you can use them to create so many different looks. To lightly line before applying a lipstick or gloss, to boldly line, to partially fill in for a faded effect, or to fill in entirely as a lipstick itself. $18 ea.

Bite Beauty’s new Agave Lip Scrub is a thick formula with brown sugar and pineapple enzymes to leave lips feeling soft and smooth. It smells lightly of vanilla / brown sugar / honey and works great. Tried it last night and it actually creates a milky emulsion when the water hits it once you start to wash it away. My lips felt super soft afterward! $18.
Ahh, the Prismatic Pearl Crème Lip Glosses. These are SO exciting to me. They’re different and fun and sooo pretty. I love looking a them in their containers as much as I like using them. $22 ea.
They came out with the gold shade during holidays 2016, and then recently added six new shades. Swatched on the back of my hand doesn’t do it justice. You really need to see these in motion, turning in the light. You can get a little better of an idea on the lip swatches I did below, but still there is nothing quite like seeing them in person. Different colors appear as they shift in the light.
These pearly colors have a prismatic, foiled look to them and are also highly moisturizing and long-wearing. You can wear these as a thin layer to add just a touch of shimmer, or apply a full coat, or two, for a full-on metallic look. These work really well layered over the lip pencils by the way.
