Nu Evolution is a natural beauty brand that is fresh on my radar! They sent me a few things to try in early January and I am here to report on my thoughts, plus show you some swatches. They have a high fashion style but without any of the toxic ingredients found in conventional “runway makeup.” They care about beautiful products, but also the truth about what’s in them. I have lots of good things to say!
This is the list of ingredients they’ve banned from their products:
PROPYLENE GLYCOL
SULFITES/SULFATES
ARTIFICIAL DYES
ARTIFICIAL FRAGRANCES
TALC
PHENOXYETHANOL
BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE
PHTHALATES
BHT
PETROLEUM
DIMETHICONE
MINERAL OIL
GLUTEN
Left to Right: Velvet, Bella, Erotic, Malibu
Their lip gloss is one of my new favorite glosses! It is so moisturizing, not sticky, and doesn’t form any unsightly lines like some glosses do when they start to dry out. I LOVE them and there are 18 shades to choose from.
Malibu – Light baby pink creme *Tip *you really have to exfoliate and make sure your lips are not dry before applying this one as it is lighter than the natural color of lips and will show dry skin.
Bella – Classic pink rose creme
Velvet – Vibrant red creme
Erotic – Deep burgundy shimmer
Here I am wearing Erotic… also wearing the concealer, and mascara.
I also tried their lipstick in the shade Allure. It is a beautiful matte peachy nude. I found it to be moisturizing, smooth, and overall a great everyday shade. It comes in 12 other shades too.

Next I tried their pressed blush in Soho. A really pretty light rose pink that is perfect for winter-pale skin.

The formula is silky and light, and because it is a lighter shade I did dab my blush brush liberally into the pan when lifting product to apply. This is a hard one to “overdo” and I’ll probably be using it a lot as an everyday shade.
I tried two shades of their 16 shades of pressed eye shadow and LOVE the buttery soft formula. These are great quality and applied easily with fingers, but also blended out well with a brush. Socialite is basically MY color when it comes to eye shadow, a bronze metallic that I love to pair with my green eyes. There was barely any fallout with these either. Really love them.

Their mascara has is a rich black color and I really like the brush. It applied nicely and worked well to fan out lashes while lengthening and defining them. I did have a bit of transfer by the end of the day but I get that with almost every mascara I try (I think its just the shape of my eyes/cheeks?). I’ve only used this one a few days but so far I’m happy with it.
They also sent little samples of their camouflage cream concealer. These definitely have buildable medium to full coverage like they say in their description. Nude seems to be my color (middle in the photo below left) and I was very impressed with how it worked as an under eye and spot concealer. Easy to blend, but it stays put and is long lasting.

I have yet to try the Complete Coverage Foundation samples. But here they are swatched for you. They are very pigmented! I’m more of a sheer foundation person, so I’d probably end up sheering these out by mixing with a serum or moisturizer. But if you’re looking for full coverage give these a try! You can order sample pots just like these.
Have you tried anything from Nu Evolution? I’d love to know! I’d say I am most excited abou their lip gloss and concealer. But they seem to be creating great products across the board. xo – Naomi
