New palettes and products are blooming this spring! Today I’m swatching the new Skin is IN! spring 2016 collection from jane iredale. I love the soft neutrals they’ve created in this collection and that all of the eyeshadows and blush are matte. You can create a super natural and fresh, clean look with these.
First, the Naturally Matte Eye Shadow Kit. Isn’t it so pretty! Love the gold cases and these five shades really do create an effortless look. They’re nice and light, but you can also create a smoky eye with fudge, a deep chocolate brown.
I love that they made the lightest shade, Buttercream, twice as big as all the others in this palette. Because I use this as a base shade and also under my brow as a highlight I’ll go through more of it than the others. Good thinking jane iredale!
Hush is a sheer, soft pink. Hard to see on my hand here but it is really such a pretty shade and has just a teeny tiny bit of pearly sheen to it while still matte. Next over is Slate Brown and this is a matte grey/brown…a cool tone. Then Eggplant which is a matte rose brown and perfect crease shade. Lastly is Fudge, which as I mentioned can be used as a smoky color, or just a bit at the outer corner of the lash line for definition.
GreatShape Eyebrow Kit – This is such a perfect little eyebrow kit! Unfortunately I think the shade blonde is too light for me. I am a darker blonde and this one doesn’t really show up on my brows – I should have gone with the shade Brunette. Inside is a dual-ended applicator with spooley, and brow brush. A water-resistant powder, and wax for combing brows into place but still maintaining a natural look. It really works quite well and is perfect for travel…just need the darker shade.
Flawless PurePressed Blush – This is such a gorgeous peachy pink brown matte blush. I think this shade would look good on so many skin tones and a wide range of ages. It also makes a pretty eyeshadow color… of course the fact that it is free of chemical dyes and irritating ingredients makes it a winner too.
Their newest edition to their many colors of the PureGloss Lip Gloss range is White Tea. A creamy golden nude/caramel with brown tones. A great shade for a natural look, and/or a summery sun-kissed look. Mmm, everytime I smell one of these lip glosses, it is just SO delicious. Smells like berries! As I’ve mentioned before these do feel slightly more sticky than a lot of the natural glosses out there, but they have great staying power/shine and are very moisturizing.
I hope these swatches help you out if you were thinking about purchasing any of these new jane iredale products this spring. Have a fabulous day! – Naomi
