I’ve been a long-time fan of BITE Beauty, and about a month ago they released their new Amuse Bouche Lipstick. A new formula in 34 shades. I’ve always loved their products, but this is the best formula they’ve created thus far. I am very impressed with these!

They are very pigmented (you can get full coverage with one swipe) but also moisturizing and very long lasting. They don’t slip around on the lips like other moisturizing lipsticks tend to do and they have an incredibly creamy/velvety feel that applies evenly and beautifully.

Amuse bouche means ‘to entertain the mouth’ and these certainly do. They have a slightly sweet citrus scent from the blend of grapefruit, lemon, lime, tangelo, mint, and mandarin extracts in the formula. Because these are triple milled the pigments are very saturated, but not heavy. They include a cocktail of a dozen edible oils for hydration including sweet almond, grapeseed, olive, sunflower, apricot, avocado, coconut, argan, pomegranate, sesame, castor, and jojoba. But they don’t feel oily at all.

They are free of parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, phthalates and are certified gluten-free.

They sent me five random shades to try out (three of which are very similar to each other).

Sorbet – juicy watermelon
Verbena – rose terracotta
Gingersnap – fresh peach
Sweet Cream – muted peach
Eggplant – smoky plum (this one does leave a slight stain on lips after removing)

I wish I could try them all!!! Especially Spritzer (a plum rose) and Jam (a rich merlot). I love my purples! Some of the lighter nudes in this collection look absolutely gorgeous too though – Meringue, Honeycomb, Souffle… I’m also intrigued by Black Truffle which they describe as a black violet. I’d love to see how much violet there actually is in it.

Have you tried any of these? I’d love to know what shades you love! This formula is seriously one of the bet I’ve tried as far as a combination of staying power, color payoff, and being moisturizing. xo – Naomi
