There are so many new spring makeup releases lately! This week I tried the new Lip Caramels by 100% Pure. These are a fruit-pigmented, vegan version of a liquid lipstick, and I have to say, I am SO impressed! These are very pigmented! The intense color comes from fruit, root and achiote seed pigments in a base of lip softening pomegranate oil and cocoa butter. Isn’t nature amazing!?
The formula gives a shiny finish that is moisturizing and long lasting. They did an amazing job with this formula. It applies smoothly, evenly, and a little goes a long way. I tried them in four of the 10 colors.
Ganache – a neutral dusty rose
Sorbetto – a vibrant, cool-tone hot pink
Red Velvet – a luscious pure, cool-tone red
Truffle – a neutral/nude mauve with hint of warm cocoa
I love each of these and am intrigued to try the other 6 colors. By the way, these smell like caramel! Yum. The smell is not overpowering and subsides after about half an hour though (all natural).
It can be intimidating to apply liquid lipstick, but I found these to be quite easy to apply due to the diamond shape design of the applicator. I didn’t need to use a lip brush for any of the lip swatches pictured above! These wear for a long time, but I when I went to check back in the mirror after two hours I did notice a tiny bit of feathering as it settled into the fine lines around the edge of my lips – a little nude lip liner prior to applying would help this. Also, you really only need a thin layer of this as it is so pigmented. Applying too much can cause additional feathering.
Overall, for $25 each I say these are a fantastic quality product and you should definitely give them a try if you were thinking about it! Check back soon, as I will be doing a post about their new Gemmed Lip Glosses in a few days! xo – Naomi*DisclaimerThis post includes pr samples. Thanks for these 100% Pure swatches! I’m shopping their sale right now, and they simply show the pic of the product in its packaging (which makes it hard to tell what the color is).

What’s the staying power of these? The colours looks so gorgeous!

It lasts quite a long time. The color stays vibrant all day (though starts to look a little more matte instead of glossy after about 4 hours). And as mentioned in the post it does feather a tiny bit at the edges so lip liner is recommended – and that will help it last longer too. It is not “kiss proof” however (not many lip products are) and transfers easily on drinking glasses etc.

Thank you so much for posting this! It really helped me in selecting one. They all look beautiful on you but I selected Truffle for myself since neutral tones like that suit me best. I also love that they smell nice too. Many thanks!
