Happy first day of autumn (yesterday)! I love summer, but I could not be more happy that we are headed into cooler days filled with falling leaves, more cups of tea, pretty scarves and boots, homemade soup, and of course fall makeup! I wanted to round up some of my favorite berry lipsticks for you and when I went hunting through my collection I found it hard to choose. Apparently I gravitate toward berry tones because I have a LOT of them. In fact I’ll probably end up doing a part two to this post to do one on berry lip gloss also. Okay, lets get into the swatches!
Of course all of these are paraben-free and most are free of other toxic crap too, and some are vegan, some are made with almost entirely organic ingredients etc. I will link to any reviews I’ve done previously of any of these shades below. I chose all of these not only because of their gorgeous shades but because they have great formulas too. If you have any questions about any of them in particular just comment below 🙂
Berry Lipstick Swatches – Row 1
Desire by Axiology: A blueberry matte purple that is semi-sheer but buildable. See my review of other Axiology Natural Organic Lipsticks here.
Magnetic Siren Lipstick by Vapour Organic Beauty: A rich mauvey grape. Vapour lipsticks also mentioned here.
Just Like Jade by Nūdus: Deep dusty matte mauve. See the review here.
Strut by Julep: Got this in my September maven box and LOVE it! They describe this shade of their Light On Your Lips Full-Coverage Crème Lipstick as a plum nectar crème.
Mulberry Luminous Creme Lipstick by Bite Beauty: A wonderfully creamy rich plum wine.
Elderberry Frozen Berries Matte Crème Lipstick by Bite Beauty: Limited Edition! They do still have this one in stock on Sephora’s site but I wouldn’t wait too long. Two of the five from this collection are already sold out. This one is the darkest – a deep reddish purple.
Plum Frozen Berries Matte Crème Lipstick by Bite Beauty: Rich eggplant with brown/red undertones. This one is sold out. Sorry guys! Find more Bite Beauty reviews here and here.
Georgia Velvet Lipstick by Alima Pure: Vibrant raspberry with teeny tiny purple shimmer.
Beatrice Velvet Lipstick by Alima Pure: Deep merlot. Read review of these here.
Wine & Dandy by Red Apple Lipstick: I’m so sorry guys! This one doesn’t seem to be on their site anymore, but their shade Fierce looks very similar. *Gluten free
Berry Lipstick Swatches – Row 2
Blackberry Lip Tint by Alima Pure: This is technically a tint so if lipstick is too much for you this is a great one to try! Read a review of all their lip tints here.
Against Nature Forbidden Lipstick by Rituelle de Fille: Bold matte fuchsia berry.
Night Wanderer Forbidden Lipstick by Rituelle de Fille: Matte blackened byzantium purple. See the review + look here.
Rosewood FlowerColor Lipstick by Ecco Bella: Warm red with a hint of gold undertones. Review here.
Soiree by Julep: Another of the new Light On Your Lips Full-Coverage Crème Lipstick shades. This one is described as an oxblood crème.
Bramble High Pigment Pencil by Bite Beauty: Described as a black currant shade, though I’d call it a red currant. I swatched this one on Instagram.
Stella Velvet Lipstick by Alima Pure: A bold garnet red with semi-matte finish. Review here.
I hope you enjoyed this post and found it useful in some way. Now I’d love to know what your favorite non-toxic berry lipstick shades are for fall! xo – Naomi
