I love so many things about the Volumizing Lip & Cheek Tints from Tata Harper Skincare! The pretty green and gold pots, the beautiful colors and cherry-ish scent, and the fact that they’re 100% free from synthetics, toxins, fillers, artificial fragrance, and artificial colors! Not to mention the fact that these are multitasking. I always love that in a product! They offer these in six colors and I’ve tried four so far.
Left to Right: Very Sweet, Very Popular, Very Charming, Very Naughty
Though they are labeled as a tint, you can build these up to get quite a bit of color from them. As you can see from the swatches on my lips below. Very Naughty, especially can look as bold as a full lipstick. But you can also blend just a tiny bit for a hint of color. They’re very moisturizing and blend easily, which is important for when you want to blend a little bit into your cheeks. I usually just use whatever is left on my finger from applying to lips and blend into my cheeks for a very natural look. They contain nourishing minerals with Spanish Lavender and Lipoamino Acid Technology to promote a plump, slightly more volumized appearance. They do have a lovely luminous quality to them. Very Sweet has a bit of golden shimmer in it, whereas the others are non-shimmer.
I love products that are meant to be applied with your hands and that you can use in more than one way. Plus, these are just so beautiful in every way – from their packaging to their ingredients, to the colors they create. They’re $35 for a 12 ml jar and totally worth it. A little goes a long way with these. They’re also made right here in Vermont, which makes me beam with green mountain state pride!
I included the shade Very Naughty in the feature on Autumn Red Lip Color in issue 4 of Sweet Violet Bride. You can take a look at that here. Very Sweet is probably my favorite for everyday though 🙂
Even their boxes are so pretty I don’t want to recycle them yet. The nature inspired fern and wildflower logo is embossed on the green lids. My husband collected these pretty ferns for me when he was out climbing (he’s a climbing guide here in Vermont). Couldn’t resist photographing them with these products. Have you tried any Tata Harper products? I’m also in love with their Love Potion roller ball! xo – Naomi
