I always recycle all the packaging that comes with products eventually, but I’m also one to really appreciate beautiful package design. Pacifica is one of those companies that has their packaging down. They print their packaging with soy inks and many of them (such as their eye shadow packaging) have gorgeous gold foil designs. I’ve held on to a few of these for almost a year now and though I’m doing a major cleaning out of old boxes I wanted to find a way to keep a bit of these, so I thought why not bookmarks!?
When you turn them on their sides, you’ll see there are perfect bookmark sizes piece with nothing but the gorgeous patterns on them. All you have to do is take a sharp pair of scissors and cut along one of the corners to open the box up. Then carefully cut out the panel you wish to use as a bookmark.
I used a paper cutter to trim the sides more evenly once I had my main pieces. I also cut out the back panels that contain the colors and ingredient info so I could file them away a little while longer should I need to reference them for some reason. #beautybloggerhabits
And there you have it! Pretty foiled bookmarks that remind me of some of my favorite eye shadows! P.S. If you missed yesterday’s post on my current favorite palettes, you can have a read here. xo – Naomi
