Hello beauties! Happy Friday! Today I’m writing about my current skincare routine (for face) and I think I might start doing these a few times per year as the seasons change. I rotate many different products in and out of my daily facial skincare routine, but these are the ones I’ve been using almost daily for the past 4-6 weeks and my skin has been absolutely loving them! All of these products are free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates, made with natural (often organic) ingredients, and cruelty free.
Acure Sensitive Facial Cleanser ($9.99)
For me, a gentle cleanser for daily use is very important. I have combination skin, sometimes oily, sometimes dry, sometimes both that is also easily irritated. I LOVE this cleanser. It contains a soothing blend of Organic Argan Oil, Probiotics, and Pumpkin Seed Oil as well as peony stem cell and sunflower amino acids. It is gentle, creamy, and helps keep my skin more calm. Plus it is pretty good at removing makeup (as long as I’m not wearing waterproof mascara, which I typically don’t). I use this every morning and most nights. Plus you can’t beat the price for something that gets a lot of use. About twice a week though, I’ll use a cleanser that has more exfoliating power – which is where the next product comes in.
From 100% Pure’s Purist Collection, comes this matcha green tea cleansing foam ($35). Great for keeping oily skin in check and nothing, I repeat, nothing feels better after a hot day than washing my face with this. It has a minty fresh cooling effect on the skin (from the peppermint essential oil). SO GOOD! The consistency is thick, almost like a mask and creates a rich lather and the matcha green tea powder, kelp, and French green clay exfoliate without scratching the skin. My skin feels so clean after using this and I’d highly recommend it to anyone with oily to normal skin. I typically use it 2-3 times per week but it is gentle enough to use nightly.
Also from the 100% Pure Purist Collection, is this Rose and Calendula Water Serum ($65). I’ve become addicted to this and kind of wish I wasn’t because it is a little pricey, but when this one is gone, I’m just going to have to save up for another because it is that good. I massage this into my face morning and night after cleansing and before moisturizer. I’ve found it to be such an important step in locking in the moisture and have noticed a visible difference in my skin from using this. It is lightweight, absorbs quickly (great for summer), helps keep my skin calm, and keeps it smooth and firm. With just six ingredients it really is a pure product. Simple, pure, and effective. One of my favorite serums, ever. (The bottle is dark blue, not black like it appears in the photo, by the way).
Arctive Berry Peptide Radiance Cream ($90)
Oh boy, I know what you’re thinking. It costs, what?! But my skin loves this SO much. It’s funny it was sent to me a while ago and I just wasn’t that interested in it for a few months for some reason. Then I opened it up about five weeks ago and have used it twice a day, everyday since. It is lightweight, smells divine (lightly of berries), and my skin looks smoother and more even since I’ve been using it. I’m absolutely in love with the ingredient list – super pure and filled with things like cloudberry tea, lingonberry seed oil, Argan oil, jojoba oil, Arctic roseroot, Arctic Meadowsweet, yellow plum, and wild cherry bark extract! Delicious food for your skin. If you want to treat yourself to something special, or buy a gift for a friend, I’d recommend this.
Acure eye cream ($16.99)
If you’re looking for an eye cream that is far more affordable than most on the market then you’ll love this one. I’ve been trying a handful of different eye creams over the past year and really like this one. I’ve been using it at night mostly for “maintenance” of the eye area. Some mornings I’ll want something stronger for dark circles and puffiness though (like this one). I love the formula of this one though – it isn’t greasy, it blends right in, and seems to be keeping the skin around my eye area quite happy. As I’m approaching 30 years old and starting to see some fine lines around my eyes, I like the fact that this contains line-reducing chlorella growth factor and edelweiss stem cells to stimulate new collagen. Also there is no added scent to this and the price is great.
Jurlique Blemish Cream ($28)
If I need to treat blemish-prone areas I’ve been reaching for this lately. It is super gentle unlike a lot of blemish treatments and helps to keep trouble areas clear. My chin has been prone to breaking out lately and this stuff is gentle enough to blend into the entire area without causing further irritation and helps keep what could turn into worse blemishes, smaller. Because it is tinted it even helps even skin out a little (though I still go in with a concealer when needed). At night I apply a thicker layer than during the day.
I hope you enjoyed this post! I didn’t get into face masks here (I typically do one each weekend), but I feel that deserves an entirely different post for another day. What products have you been loving for your spring skin routine? I’d love to know! : ) xo – Naomi
