I’m excited to update my nails this month with some fresh spring colors! Especially since I woke up to another inch of snow this morning here in VT. I’m just going to have to create my own little springtime until this part of the Northern hemisphere finally warms up! I’ve been loving Côte polishes in these pastel hues. Pretty lavenders, corals, and pearly blush. These polishes are vegan, cruelty-free, and 5-free. They have more than 100 gorgeous colors and I would try them ALL if I could, but these are some of my favorites this season.
I really love the finish of these polishes and a 1-coat application dries super fast. If you’re going to do 2-3 coats though I recommend not applying right before bed like I did once before – you’ll wake up with interesting sheet patterns imprinted onto all your nails. That’s pretty common with most polishes though. Most of them only need 1-2 coats, but No. 7 (the light neutral blush shade) needed three because it was a bit streaky due to its semi-translucent nature.
I’m absolutely in love with No. 17 this month…17 also happens to be my favorite number so that just makes me love the bright pink geranium color even more.
I also love No. 84 and 85 SO much. These purples are so pretty, feminine and chic. I love my purples as you know, but I am so glad to have these in my collection. 84 is more of a cool tone lavender, and 85 is a unique warm tone lilac / mauve and has the tiniest amount of pearly sheen to it.
No. 11 is a gorgeous blush pink pearl which would be SO pretty for brides. I love wearing this any time I want to feel extra girly. This one dries super fast but also wears off a little quicker than the others. I find most metallic polishes are like that. A top coat would help this, but I get lazy. No. 14 is a fine peach glitter which is super pretty alone or over another color. This one dries almost instantly and I like how fine the glitter is… it gives it a very even application. It actually reminds me of one of the first nail polishes I ever had when I was a kid (which I still keep in a box of mementos even though its been dried up for like 15 years…anyone else weird like that?).
I would definitely recommend this brand if you’ve never checked them out before. I’d also love to know what colors you’re wearing on your nails this spring! Let me know in the comments below : ) xo – Naomi
