I first became a fan of Pacifica from falling in love with their roll-on perfumes about a year and a half ago, and over the past year they’ve been coming out with some amazing makeup products also. They’ve added quite a few products to their makeup line in the last few months actually. It’s been an exciting time for this vegan brand lately! Today I’m reviewing two of the Pacifica eye shadow palettes. I LOVE the colors they’ve been formulating! First, I want to be sure to mention that all of these coconut-infused mineral eye shadows are 100% vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated without FD&C color, phthalates, talc, parabens or petroleum. Score!

Enlighten Eye Brightening Shadow Palette ($14)

These shadows (above left) are velvety, silky, and creamy and for this reason I love applying them with my fingertips. Besides being infused with coconut water (which helps prevent creasing), they also contain safflower seed oil (an antiaging emollient). This has become one of my favorite palettes of all-time, and the price is great! This natural mineral palette includes four super pretty shades that are highly pigmented:

Skinny Dip – Matte nude base, a universal brightener.  Perfect for using on the inner eye to add brightness. I’ve become obsessed with Skinny Dip as it makes such a wonderful, glowing-from-within highlighter shade! I’m definitely going to run out of this one first.

Coral Sand – A satin lid base or highlighter with a soft peach color that instantly adds warmth and light to your face. I love adding a touch of it to the center of my eyelid after blending everything else in.

Golden – A perfect yellow gold with just the right amount of shimmer for use on lids or to line the eyes. This is such a unique shade and though I’ve used it sparingly so far, it is one of my favorite golds ever.

Urchin – An iridescent jeweled purple with gold tones.  Use dry as a shadow, wet as a liner.  Perfect for smudging and a great substitute for black. I use this in combination with the first two colors for a day-time smoky look. You know I love my purples and this one is the perfect shade! Blends beautifully.

Charmed Shadow Palette ($17)

Though this palette is physically smaller, it contains seven shades! The pans are on the small side, but the beauty of this palette is in it’s variety and the rainbow of combinations which you can create from the array inside. The shadows come stamped in a pretty swirly wave design which almost makes you want to just look at it for a whole day before trying it out (almost). These shadows are too pretty to resist for long. Again, these work best (I think) by applying with either a really soft brush, or preferably your fingertips.

The seven shades are as follows (I just love their names, too!):

Unicorn – White with sparkling light golden shimmer. This is the only one that isn’t quite as creamy as the others upon first touch, it needs to be blended a bit more as it does have some shimmery particles in it. A really pretty highlight for the browbone.

Sky – A pearly blue with a hint of aqua/mint in it. I’d say the sheen in this one is more silver than gold.

Charming – Pinky orange-peach iridescent. If a sunset was embodied in a shadow, this would be it.

Sparkle Lilac – Contrary to the name there aren’t any sparkly particles in here. It is a gorgeous, smooth shimmering lilac purple. I’m quite simply in love with this one. I would name it Lilac Pearl.

Moody – Such a cool, silvery moody gray with a bit of violet iridescence. Pearly, purplish taupe. Love.

Alchemy – A beautiful pearly bronze (gold, not coppery). Makes a gorgeous highlight next to Avalon.

Avalon – A warm cocoa with slight golden undertones, this is the crease shade and the most matte of the whole palette.

So if you’re looking for some pearly, natural and vegan eye shadows to try out I’d definitely say give these a try. I can’t wait to see what Pacifica will come out with next. I’m in the process of trying out a few other things from their makeup line also and will be sure to let you know how it goes! xo – Naomi

  1. […] 1) Pacifica Charmed Eye Shadow Palette – Sadly it doesn’t seem that Pacifica is selling this on their website anymore. Pacifica bring it back! I love the whimsical colors in this little palette and have found myself being drawn to it again in the summer season. Pacifica’s eye shadows (their regular ones in the palettes not their cream shadows) are some of my favorites of all time. They have such a buttery texture with beautiful luminescent colors. I did see this being sold around the web here and there on Amazon and such still if you want to get your hands on one. I also wrote about it in this post. […]
