Let’s get one thing straight, frank is a major flirt. As soon as I heard about this coffee scrub (which originated in Australia and is now available in the United States) I knew I had to try it because 1) I love the smell of coffee (even though I prefer tea) and 2) I love a good natural body scrub. Plus, as I mentioned, frank has a personality all his own. On the back of the bag frank instructs to tear his top off, get naked, and get dirty. Mr. Grey, you might have a rival.
So I tore frank’s top off and inside this seemingly plain brown paper pouch is 200g of tough love and oh. my. god. That smell! It smells SO good…intoxicating really. The ingredients are simple and pure and (in the original version which I tried) include roasted and ground robusta coffee beans, sweet almond oil, salt, brown sugar, orange oil, vitamin E, and natural fragrance. So it smells of rich ground coffee with an uplifting citrusy note from the orange oil. Ahh. Sometimes, #letsbefrank I open the bag when sitting at my desk in the middle of the day and inhale deeply. #thefrankeffect
It is said to “smooth your lumps and bumps” with the brown sugar and sea salt, and moisturize and tone your skin with the cold pressed sweet almond oil, and that is exactly what it did. I first gave it a try on my legs about an hour before shaving to see if it would make my legs smoother and less prone to irritation from shaving as my skin can be super sensitive. I gently scrubbed and then rinsed after a few minutes (I’m not gonna lie its pretty fun to rub coffee grounds all over oneself, but wow that is a lot of coffee grounds down the shower drain). The skin on my legs immediately felt hydrated, energized, and soft. I shaved as usual and the next day I have to say, my legs looked and felt great. No little red bumps which sometimes like to make an appearance, no dryness, just smooth, calm skin.
Impressed, I decided to take frank on a second date, and this time tried it on my face, arms and shoulders, and elbows. Though a little too abrasive for my entire face (I think I put too much on though…got a little excited for my selfie) I really loved using it on my arms and elbows. I can sometimes get little bumps on my elbows from being dry etc, and the next day after using the scrub they were gone and my elbows were smooth. I’d highly recommend this to anyone who has dry skin or problem skin (I’ve heard it works great on eczema and psoriasis). It is also just a great way to exfoliate once a week and keep your skin healthy!
I’m officially a huge fan of frank and can’t wait to try their other versions which are cacao, and coconut & grapeseed. As frank would say, I’ll be continuing to “Get naked, get dirty, get rough, get clean.”

I keep on seeing more about this coffee scrub show up on my Facebook. Time and again it looks like they had fun too while using it and also say good things about it after. I see some before and after photos they look amazing! Have you used it since and seen improved results in your skin too Naomi?
