I’ve recently been trying out a new natural beauty brand called L’Eclisse (say lay-cleese). It means “eclipse” in Italian which I think is pretty neat. They sent me a few things to try and this company caught my eye because they do not use synthetic perfumes, oils, dyes or fillers in their products and their ingredient list is very “clean” as I like to say. Plus, their whole look is very pretty and elegant. Their packaging alone makes me feel like a princess. If you like feeling girly and pampered but also care about natural ingredients, then you’ll love their line of products.

Natural Lip Gloss $19 ea.
I love the size of these as they can easily fit in your pocket or small clutch but aren’t too small either (5ml). They’re made with certified organic ingredients and are preservative-free. I tried them in Garnet Glimmer, Rubedo, and Moonstone (they’re available in 10 shades). I found them to be very hydrating thanks to the coconut oil, shea butter, and antioxidant-rich botanicals they contain. They smell a little like hot chocolate because of the natural scent of the cocoa butter. Mmmm. They feel silky smooth and aren’t sticky at all – always something I look for in a gloss. Rubedo is a beautiful pink/nude with a very fine shimmer that I think is my favorite so far (seen wearing below). Garnet glimmer is beautiful for summer and is a pretty bronzy shimmer with an orange undertone, and Moonstone is aptly named for its shimmery iridescence. A creamy, frosty gloss with pink highlights that can be worn alone or layered over other colors to add dimension.

Foundation-Natural-Ivory-e1385880741412Pressed Mineral Foundation $57
Whoa, hello pretty container! This compact is dressed up and ready to go somewhere fancy (see first photo at beginning of post). Inside is a nice mirror and a soft round applicator. It comes in 9 shades and I tried it in the lightest ‘Natural Ivory’ which is for very pale complexions with pink undertones. Typically I am always the lightest shade in any foundation, but this one is almost too pale for my skin in the summer and so will be a better winter shade for me. If you layer it thicker it will show any little bit of dry skin you have so you really have to make sure you’ve exfoliated and moisturized beforehand. I prefer it as more of a sheer finishing powder and haven’t used this as a full coverage foundation. It definitely mattifies though, so if you are on the oily side you might love this.

Pressed Mineral Setting Powder $42
I love that this, and all of the L’Eclisse products are talc-free. They use rice and corn starch in place of the talc. This pressed powder comes in two shades, transparent light, or transparent medium/dark. I of course tried it in transparent light. This powder is super smooth, lightweight, and definitely neutralizes shine. I like this one better than the foundation powder simply because it blends on the skin better for me and since I’m sort of using them for the same purpose of a setting powder, this one is the one I would get again.

Pressed Mineral Blush $30
The blush, is SO cute! It arrived in this pretty little pink box that looked kind of like a miniature purse and I love the mirror inside this compact. You think it would be small, but it spans the entire underside of the lid which is awesome for on the go applications. This blush is currently available in three shades and I tried it in ‘Pink Sapphire.’ I tried it with their blush brush (SO soft! I love this brush!!) and a little really goes a long way with this color, but after you blend it in it is gives such a natural pink glow. It is described as a silky-sheer translucent and that is exactly what it is. So pretty and it is formulated without oil, talc, fragrance, or synthetic dyes. Love.

Cleanser_FoamRose Hip Cleansing Foam $27
L’Eclisse also has a line of anti-aging skincare and I tried the rose hip cleansing foam. Just the idea of using a cleanser with rose hips sounds so lovely doesn’t it? I was going to put some in a dish and show what it looks like, but I actually used it all up! It looks pink in the bottle but when you pump it out its a white foam. It is super lightweight and is very, very gentle, yet I could literally feel it lifting the dirt and grime out of my pores at the end of the day. It didn’t take off waterproof makeup (I don’t think it’s really intended for eye makeup though), but everything else it did. It left my face feeling amazing and glowing and fresh. I fell in love with this cleanser and the ingredient list, sigh…so wonderfully simple: PURIFIED WATER, OLIVE OIL CASTILE, VEGETABLE GLYCERIN, ROSE HIP SEED OIL, OIL OF KUMQUAT, SEAWEED EXTRACTS. That’s it. I highly recommend this as a gentle, all-natural everyday cleanser. You can take a look at their other anti-aging skincare products here.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post and perhaps found a new product to try.
See you soon! xo -Naomi
