Hello! And Welcome! I’m very excited to finally get this natural beauty blog underway. As soon as I began trying out products / considering them for the natural beauty guide in Sweet Violet Bride’s premier issue, I knew I wanted to create a place where I could review them in more depth than the magazine allows and also a place to explore the many facets of natural beauty.
Though I have dabbled in natural perfumery, at home herbal remedies, love making my own lip balm, and have a life-long obsession with plants and beauty products, I must first off let you know that I am not a chemist, dermatologist, facialist, or medical herbalist. I am a writer, editor, natural beauty – obsessed woman living in Vermont, who cares deeply about the products I use.
I believe our skincare and beauty regimens, and even the fashion we wear are a way of sharing our authentic truths, and are a form of self-love. An important part of not only keeping our skin beautiful, but our hearts and mind as well. Throughout the journey of this blog I will be reviewing natural skin care, hair care, and makeup products. I’ll also occasionally write on topics such as herbal remedies (one of my absolute favorite books in the entire world is The Complete Medicinal Herbal by Penelope Ody), DIY bath & body tutorials, and practices for healthy, anti-stress living. It is my hope that you will enjoy my reviews and musings, that it will be a little corner of the web where beauty is always in bloom, and that you will be inspired to begin or continue your own journey in natural beauty – inside and out.
